Smart Rings Reviews is reader-supported. Some of the links on this site are affiliate links, which means that if you click one and make a purchase, I may earn a commission — at no additional cost to you.
This page explains exactly what that means, which programs I participate in, and how it affects the content you read here.
The plain-English version
When you click an affiliate link on this site and buy something, the retailer pays me a small percentage of the sale. You pay the same price you would have paid if you’d gone directly to the retailer. That’s it.
Affiliate links are the primary way this site supports itself. Without them, I couldn’t afford to fund the independent research that goes into each review, pay for hosting, or spend the time on long-form analysis. If you find my reviews useful, using my links when you buy is the single most helpful thing you can do.
Programs I participate in
This site participates in, or intends to participate in, the following affiliate programs:
- Amazon Associates Program — Smart Rings Reviews is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.
- Ultrahuman (via Awin) — commission on Ultrahuman Ring Air and Ultrahuman M1 referrals.
- Oura (via Impact) — commission on Oura Ring Gen 3 and subsequent model referrals.
- RingConn (via Awin) — commission on RingConn Gen 2 and Gen 2 Air referrals.
- Amazfit (direct affiliate) — commission on Amazfit Helio Ring referrals.
This list is maintained in good faith and updated when I join or leave a program. If a brand is reviewed on this site but not listed above, it means I am not currently earning a commission on that product.
How affiliate relationships affect my reviews
They don’t affect the score. They might affect which products I review first.
To be specific:
- Rankings and ratings are determined before I check commission rates. When I publish a round-up like “Best Smart Rings of 2026,” the ranking is based on my testing and research. I do not re-order products to favor programs that pay better.
- I review products regardless of whether I can earn a commission on them. Samsung Galaxy Ring, for example, does not have a public affiliate program at the time of writing. I still review it because my readers ask about it.
- Commission rates do influence what gets reviewed first. If two rings look similar on paper and I have to choose which to cover, the editorial decision is based on reader interest and specification differences, not commission rate.
- I do not publish sponsored content. If a brand pays me to write a review, that review will be labeled “Sponsored” at the top of the page and will not appear in any ranked list. As of the date above, no content on this site is sponsored.
How links are marked
Affiliate links on this site use rel="sponsored nofollow" attributes, consistent with Google’s guidelines on qualifying outbound links to your site. Where links are cloaked through our /go/ URL pattern (for analytics and link-rot management), the destination domain is always visible in the URL you’re sent to.
Posts that contain affiliate links include a short disclosure box near the top of the post, along the lines of:
This post contains affiliate links. If you buy through a link, I may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. I pay for every ring I review — here’s how that works.
FTC compliance
This disclosure is made in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR Part 255, “Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising.” My material connection to the brands mentioned on this site is disclosed on every page that contains affiliate links, not just here.
